Later on several groups evolved in 1960’s line of Barbie’s with just a minor difference in each of them. Ponytail Barbie between 1959- 1956 had their hair pulled back in ponytail and curled bangs. Bubblecut dolls usually had short, tight hair styles. Further in 1963, fashion queen Barbie was set into production; this Barbie had painted hair and three wigs.
However Barbie’s most glamorous period came in later 1964 and 1966 with the introduction of swirl ponytail Barbie. As the name signifies it had a swirled ponytail held at back with a yellow ribbon tied on it.
Next popular Barbie came was Miss Barbie, which was the first to have bendable legs and which can open and close her eyes. She too had a molded hair and came with three wigs. American Girl Barbie having hair of length to shoulder had also became popular doll as like of fashion queen Barbie, mostly because of series resemblance being the most glamorous.
Of all the most rare and valuable was Color magic Barbie which had blonde or black hair that can change color on applying some special solution. Also it had a multicolor diamond print swimsuit and headband accompanied by different kinds of makeup.
